New Forum !!

(Voor Nederlands, zie vorig bericht)

Hi All!

Some of you may already have noticed: We have a new DinamoUsers portal
online.

Features:
- Forums, divided in several main subjects
- File Galleries, for storage and distribution of useful data
- Wiki, as known from wikipedia, for all regular information, on which
all of you can contribute!
- InternationalisatioN (i18n), to support multiple languages
- Dozens of other features to add, should we need them

It is a web-based portal. For those fond of receiving information by
e-mail we have good news. On many places you can put "watches" to alert
you by e-mail if something changes. Thereby you can receive a selection
or all posts in your normal mailbox. You can also actrivate "watches" on
wiki-pages.

i18n gives us the possibility to create a miltilingual portal. Ik can
not do that all by myself and since every user can contribute I ask
everyone who can to do this. For this moment Dutch and English are active.

The most important files are copied from YahooGroups to DinamoUsers.
Hans Nouwens has ported the entire mail-archive. The dates are not
accurate anymore, but the content is, and 99% of the data should be there.

There is one nasty flaw in the system: downloading .zip files from File
Galleries using Internet Explorer fails. The cause seems a bug in IE
that is recognized by Microsoft, but since halve the globe uses this
product the one who needs to solve it is probably us. We are working on
this, but for the time being the only alternative is using another
browser (e.g. Firefox) if you need to donload .zip files

What we ask from you:
- If you haven't done so, register at http://www.dinamousers.net
- Send me an e-mail to have your account upgraded. You will receive
additional features to use on the portal.
- From now one we request you to use the new portal in stead of
dinamousers at yahoogroups. Mails sent to yahoogroups arrive in a locked

Leon
